Circle Insurance Services PLC has an in-depth understanding of the insurance requirements of the saddlery industry whether the saddlery is a manufacturer, repairer or retailer.  Circle Insurance Services PLC is the appointed Insurance Broker to the Society of Master Saddlers (UK) Ltd and the Society recommends Circle Insurance Services PLC. If the saddlery is not a Society member, it will receive the same high level of service from us.

Whilst many saddlery businesses have obvious similarities, each one has its own distinct characteristics and it is for this reason Circle Insurance Services PLC has not developed a saddlers insurance “off the shelf” insurance package but prefers to remain flexible in tailor-making insurance arrangements to fit the saddlers requirements for today and tomorrow - rather like a well fitted saddle!

Giving advice to customers about Saddlery has become an important part of a saddler’s service. For this reason most Society of Master Saddlers Members are insured under a “block” professional Indemnity Insurance policy that Circle Insurance Services PLC has arranged, at the request of the Society of Master Saddlers, to protect its members against damages awarded for alleged poor advice and the associated legal defence costs. Non-Society saddlers and service enterprises involved in saddlery or any form of equine consultancy may also wish to seek assistance from Circle Insurance Services PLC on the need to arrange professional indemnity insurance.

All Saddlers are advised to regularly examine the scope of cover provided under their insurance arrangements particularly with regards to public and products liability insurance as some policies inadequately cover all the risks to which they are exposed such as the risks involved with saddle fitting, the making and repairing of general leatherwork and whilst attending shows and exhibitions.
